The eXpanium 201 has a smaller size, new look, and bigger display than the original EXP103. It offers complete compatibility with MP3 files downloaded from the Internet and burned onto a CD-ROM. Besides MP3, the EXP201 accommodates ACCD-formatted files. The player also offers multisession support and VBR (variable bit-rate) playback. In order to play regular music CDs as well as recordable and rewritable music CDs and recordable computer CDs, an audio device needs highly sophisticated laser technology. Philips was one of the first to incorporate that CD-Rewritable-compatible laser technology into its audio systems. The EXP201 is ultra-portable. It can play up to 15 hours on four AA batteries (12 hours using ESP electronic skip protection). Electronic Skip Protection (ESP) automatically stores digital music information (up to 45 seconds) during playback and inserts it in place of lost information when the CD player is bumped or shaken, preventing interruptions caused by shocks and vibration. Digital Dynamic Bass Boost (DDBB) enhances bass at low, mid, and high volume, to give deep, rich sounds. Buyer Reviews : Features/Technical Specs : What people search: |
