This player has extremely poor FM reception where my AIWA player has perfect reception. The player looses its settings at random. It seems to draw power from the batteries very quickly. The preset FM stations seem to erase themselves and other settings are lost as well. While in use, the player will reset itself after several minutes and then all settings will be lost, the time and date will change to a random time/date, and other settings will be lost. I have had to remove the battery in order to get the player screen to re-appear after the player has been turned off.
I have had the product for a week and it has not functioned correctly since I purchased it. I normally use the player with a SanDisk 128MB SD MMC and Alkaline AAA Ultra batteries from Duracell. I typically use this 'sport model' while riding my bike. This activity has never affected my other players MPIO-DMK or AIWA CR-LD100 FM Stereo.
I am sending the palyer back for repair/replacement. The tech support has been awful so far (phone lines that don't work, inability to generate a RMA number, a promise to replace the unit with a remanufactured unit only). I'm certainly willing to change this review as matters develop but for now I'm not at all happy with SonicBlue or their player.
