I bought this model back at the end of August and it had to be repaired by the beginning of October, less than two months after purchasing it. The built in battery would not operate. I brought it in to be repaired and it was fixed, sort of, the unit will run on the built in battery, it just won't recharge it. I had to return it to the repair center and it is still there. The repair technicians told me he is still waiting for the part(s) to arrive. He has already complained to Panasonic about the delay and they keep telling him it's on it's way, but so far nothing has shown up. He said the problem with the built in battery appears to be common with this particular unit.
If it wasn't for this, I would give the unit 5 stars and recommend it because it does work great. I have also used the optional battery pak and can get at the least 4 hours of running time before recharging. There has been no problems recharging the optional battry pak only the built in battery.
