I bought this DVD player after my [$$] Sony DVP-560 kicked the bucket (and Sony wants [$$] to fix all DVDs). For the price of this unit I was expecting a no frills DVD player. What I got was shocking -- this DVD can do more than my Sony, at just under a 5th of the cost (and only half the cost of a repair)! It has outstanding video and audio quality, can play MP3s, has component video and s-video out, includes component video cables, has dolby digital and DTS out (via digital coax), and even has a glow-in-the-dark remote. While I have not had it for 2 years yet so I can't say for sure that it will outlast my Sony, I can say that it appears to be made very solid and the odds are very good that it will last longer. Even if it doesn't, at this price I can afford to get another if it does fail. The bottom line: this is a great deal and I am very satisfied with my purchase. If you are fed up with the poor quality of the bigger brand names, this is the one to get. It also comes in black.
