Editorial Reviews :
Timex's TX60 is a bedside AM/FM CD/radio alarm clock. The TX60 provides two settable alarms, plus custom one-touch alarm settings for seven, five, or two days. You can choose to wake to your favorite CD track, radio station, or to one of three different riffs. Its 3-inch stereo speakers provide good sound quality for your music.
The TX60 features 'Mystery Answers.' Ask the TX60 a question, press the Mystery button, and it will give you one of 14 answers in both male and female voices.

Alarm features include a sleep button to doze off to CD or AM/FM radio. A large, easy-to-find snooze bar sits across the top of the unit, while a three-step brightness switch lets you adjust the backlit amber display to what's easiest for you to view. A battery backup system is included so you won't be caught sleeping even if there's a power outage.

Buyer Reviews :
The most important thing you must know: this CD player is CDR *and* CDR-W compatible!! That means that you could record your own alarm and wake up to it. I am fond of recording (in my own voice) on a CDR-W what I have to do the next day, and set the alarm to repeat that track. Then there's no way I over-sleep! Well you could do that with a regular CD... but since this set is CDR-W compatible, you can use a RE-WRITABLE CD... and record over it over and over again, with no waste. That is what I hoped for, and that is what I got. So... on to the other details: Don't expect Bose sound on this thing. It's your standard CD player. But the set also comes with extra cables to hook up to better speakers, so an upgrade to the sound quality is possible... Also, the top that covers the actual CD is one of those clumsy push-to-open, push-to-close mechanisms, which I see breaking apart in the near future. Mystery phrases-- unless you are a ten year old, they will sound less than fun-ny to you! Very surfer-speak, 'waaay cool' 8-ball yes, no, maybe type phrases. What a totally radical trip.
Being able to set the alarm and work with the options requires skimming through the owner's manual. Once you do that you are fine.
There's a LED light that indicates if your back-up batteries are low on power or not.
Overall I think I made a good buy. Waking up to my favorite CD or my own sweet voice is SO much better than waking to a beep. That has made all the difference.
