Samsung has consistently been one of the best electronic companies in the business. Their first take on the Portable DVD Player is no exception. I watch DVDs on this every night! I bought the unit about 5 months ago, and it hasn't tarnished one bit. Let's start with the picture quality. The 10' inch screen is going to attract a lot of people. The LCD quality is bright, and radiant. It is glare-protected, and very sharp. Also has about one million pixels, making it beautiful. I'm really not kidding, this is a high-definition screen. Everyone will love the cinema mode. The sound? Beautiful. It can hook up to a DTS connection, or a 5.1 Dolby Digital sound system. With new technology, if you plug in headphones, you actually get the 5.1 digital sound THROUGH the headphones! That means sitting on your couch, it's like a theater. I suggest watching in the dark, so it's like a real theater. Battery is pretty impressive. I got about 3 and a half hours per charge. An extra is very expensive though.. I'm hoping my battery doesn't run out of juice any time soon. No problems with this player. I suggest buying noise-cancelling headphones and a case logic player case for it. My personal problem with this is that I prefer the 7' - 8' screens. These are starting to feel a bit like laptops. Since I watch movies at a close range, I don't want to strain my eyes. Definately a must-buy if you have any interest in this model. Price ain't too shabby either! (by Guy_Knight) Features/Technical Specs : What people search: |
