Sometimes my job requires me to be away from the corded phone and my hands to be free. I've tried cordless phones with headsets. The phones are too heavy, bulky, and sometimes get in the way. The Plantronics CT10 was just what I needed. It's just about the same price as a good cordless phone with headset capabilities.
The included headset took some getting used to, but the sound was clear and nobody had a problem hearing me. I'm not used to wearing a headband. Unlike other similar products I was able to try out different types of headsets by Plantronics and other manufacturers. Other products had a hardwired headset - I didn't like the fact that I would be stuck with what I've got.
The phone unit is small and lightweight. The talk/hang-up button is easy to get to and easy to find without looking. So is the mute button. The keypad layout is simple and easy to remember. When you clip the phone to your belt the unit is upside down which is good because you don't have the antenna stabbing you on your side, but it makes the volume buttons upside down. No big thing 'cause you're not looking at the buttons anyway.
The base unit is easy to hook up. It stands kinda tall and is not wall mountable. Just don't place it in front of a cabinet with a swinging door like I did.
Overall this was a great deal and a great product.
