A full-featured entertainment center doesn't have to fill your living room. Sylvania's three-in-one 6727DC makes it easy to watch TV, record broadcasts, play VHS cassettes, and enjoy high-quality DVDs. The compact unit has a 27-inch-diagonal screen, stereo sound, 3-inch speakers, and an onscreen display (OSD) for easy system configuration. Also included are a closed-caption decoder, a sleep timer, and a V-Chip parental guidance system.
The DVD player plays DVD Video, CD, CD-RW, CD-R, and MP3 files. Basic features include still-frame, slow motion, and frame advance, while four-step high-speed search scan (2x, 8x, 30x, and 60x) makes hunting out favorite scenes a cinch. Other features include zoom, bookmark, parental lock, repeat play (all, title, chapter, track, A-B), CD program play, TruSurround simulated surround sound for stereo playback, and Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround sound output (for use with a compatible audio-video receiver).
The 6727DC also offers a full-featured four-head hi-fi VCR with S-VHS playback ability and a one-year, eight-event timer. Nineteen-micron heads deliver the clearest possible picture when recording or viewing in SLP (super-long play) mode. You also get two-step (5x and 15x) high-speed search (in SLP mode), index and time search (using the OSD), and an auto head cleaner. Front AV input jacks accommodate a camcorder, gaming console, or second VCR, while a headphone jack eases private listening. Other connections include a rear stereo analog-audio output and coaxial digital-audio output for the DVD player. The unit comes with a 47-key remote control.

The TV and VCR part worked fine upon opening. The DVD did not read the DVD disk. I have called the manufacturer and they are arranging a service call to repair the DVD. The color was a little orange in the facial tones, but this is adjustible. Also, it has analog and a digital output for connection, but not fiber optic output for connection to a stereo. Make sure your stereo does not only accept fiber optic inputs.
