For radar and even road-hazard detection, the Uniden LRD987 all-band coverage/VG-2 undetectability and alert/voice alert/laser/radar detector features 360-degree laser detection; X, K, and Ka Superwideband detection; Uniden's own l2/l3 detection; and VG-2 warning and undetectability. It also sports Safety Warning System (SWS) alerts, memory and city/highway modes, audio only and audio mute, and Uniden's Digital Navigator electronic compass for additional on-the-road assistance. The LRD987 features voice alert and text alert readouts, and between the two of them you can access 64 different SWS voice and visual alerts.

This is a really good buy right now, as one of the top of the line Unidens for only 43% off of the retail price you can't beat that. It's really good at finding a police officer about a mile away, and as a guy driving a 'fast and the furious' rice burner I need a good radar detector. I just fell in love with the digital display and the slick design. But after it filtered out what most radar detectors get as false alarms, and came strong on detecting Radars and Vg-2s a mile away, then I was even more happy about my purchase. Also with its 360 degree detection and its onboard Compass you can just sit back and ride without even worring about anything else. This item is a must buy when your eyed on by the cops all the time.
