For enhanced video performance with the widest possible range of televisions, the SD2800 DVD player offers ColorStream component-video outputs. The ColorStream component-video connection, first introduced by Toshiba, is an excellent analog interface between a digital video source and a nondigital TV. The resulting picture is characterized by superior image purity, incredibly lifelike colors, and crisp color resolution.

Using MP3 digital-audio compression, you can record up to 10 hours of your favorite music on a single CD-R. The SD2800's accommodation of discs like this make the player the ideal centerpiece of a high-tech home entertainment center.

The SD2800 is distinguished by an elegant new cosmetic styling that combines a sleek aesthetic with the ultimate in convenience and utility. The cabinet has been streamlined and reduced in height relative to earlier models, optimizing it for inclusion in multi-component home theaters. We bought this DVD player about 6 months ago...so happy with it we're making sure to buy the same one as a gift. It's simple to hook up and understand, and very easy to use. One feature that we LOVE and that not all DVD players have, is that if we shut the DVD player off, it automatically restarts at the same spot we left off. My son's DVD player (another brand) does not do this...it's very inconvenient to have to remember where you were and fast forward to that spot if you don't watch a movie all the way through.
