I have used this media without any problems even though it is not officially supported by Sony. I did upgrade the firmware of the drive to 1.0f though. The media when burn with Sonic MyDVD plays on Daewoo, Apex, and Go-Video DVD players as well as my Liteon DVD-ROM drive. I don't know what a previous reviewer's problems were, but I have burned five with no problems whatsoever and will buy more in the future. The Sony disk included with the drive works but generally costs double the price of memorex.
