I have owned the Panasonic DMR-E20S DVD Recorder/Player since November of 2001. I bought 20 Panasonic Disks (at about twice the price) and 30 of the Memorex. Apart from having to format the Memorex before using it (about 1 minute each side on the machine), there seems to be no difference in the quality. However, since I only have the one machine, I have no way of knowing how readable the disks would be on Computer DVD-RAMs and other Recorder/Players. Also, Memorex makes an affordable DVD-R (#3202-5510) which can be recorded on the Panasonic Machine (only once). They work on any DVD player that can play a DVD-R (such as my Sony Portable).
